Variations on a Theme: Killian appointed to cabinet, Corruption defined

Now that Mark Killian, Chairman of the AZ Board of Regents, has been appointed to Il Duce's cabinet, I guess the answer to the question of whether the regents will sue over the crappy budget is answered. See the post at B4AZ.

Here are snippets from the story at azcentral.com.

From critic to cabinet member ... Arizona Board of Regents Chairman Mark Killian, an outspoken critic of the state budget backed by Gov. Doug Ducey and the Legislature, is now a Ducey Cabinet member.

This, after Killian last month questioned whether the regents could sue over the state budget, saying he believed lawmakers were "in clear violation of the Arizona Constitution," which says a college education must be "as nearly free as possible."

Killian, a former speaker of the House, can serve as both Ag director and a regent, a Ducey staffer said. [Conflict of what?????]

Some saw the situation this way: If you can't silence them, put them in your cabinet.

Others, including Scriber, see it in a slightly different light, here adding another sense to a dictionary definition.
