Vive La Marseillaise!

No words can fully capture the horror of the terror attacks in Paris. So I turn to music.

You remember the movie classic Casablanca. (If not, read this and then go watch the film.)

The Nazis were singing their song in the bar. Victor Laszlo (played by Paul Henreid) asks the band to play La Marseillaise. The bar owner Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) gives the nod. And the the whole room erupts in the song. The Nazis quit.

Let this song of defiance and hope unite us with our Parisian allies.

Here is the clip: La Marseillaise from the film Casablanca. (h/t Dylan Smith via Facebook)

Je suis un Parisien. Nous sommes des Parisiens.
