2015 was a very good year - for corruption in AZ

Keep the faith. 2016 might be even better.

You know all these stories. I've focused on the Corruption Corporation Commission: Stump's texts, Bitter Smith's conflicts, Burns getting stiffed by APS, the appointment of Andy Tobin, and Doug Little as the new chair. I doubt that anyone hit the flush button yesterday. Like Chinese water torture, it just keeps dripping and dripping.

AZBlueMeanie reminds us of more: the ex-Congressman Rick Renzi in the slammer for money laundering, Joe Arpaio finally going to trial, and last, but not least, Secretary of State Michele Reagan who campaigned against dark money, whose election was facilitated by dark money, and who now won't do anything about dark money. The Meanie's prediction:

This is by no means an exhaustive study of the GOP culture of corruption in Arizona. That would take a book-length report. You can expect much more to come in 2016 from our lawless Tea-Publican Arizona legislature and Governor, the “Kochtopus” dark money network run by Sean Noble, and a myriad of other far-right groups operating in Arizona. Corruption is to be expected from a corporatocracy of, by and for plutocrats.
