Obamacare is being framed as a liability for Dems. Yet, some Dems are running on it, with it, but certainly not against it - for instance, Charlie Crist in Florida. However, GOP candidates have no credible alternative. Repeal only is not popular - most Americans are against that. So repeal and replace is catching on among the GOP. But replace with what? There is nothing in repeal-and-replace that is all that different from the provisions of the Affordable Care Act. So candidates like Scott Brown are having some serious media moments as they scramble to come up with a narrative that doesn't sound silly. The most they can do is throw money into ads promoting lies about Affordable Care.
Greg Sargent explains:
I'll say it again. Running away from Affordable Care takes Dems right into the GOP frame, and that's a loser.
